Oak: A Luxurious and Nostalgic Royal Office

A Classic Design for Reading and Relaxation

Designed by B5 Design, Oak is a stunning example of a private office in a residential palace that combines luxury, nostalgia, and functionality. Inspired by the elegance of antique classical English offices with a touch of ancient Egyptian aesthetics, Oak provides the perfect mood for reading and relaxation in a luxurious setting.

What sets Oak apart from other designs is its unique combination of elements. The office features double-story bookshelves, a comfortable sitting area, and a fireplace, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The flooring is approached from a different angle, creating artistic walls that add depth and character to the space. The entire office is fully covered in oak wooden panels, exuding warmth and sophistication. Brass accents are strategically placed to enhance the overall design and provide a touch of opulence.

The realization of Oak involved the use of advanced technology and craftsmanship. The office interior is meticulously covered in oak wood panels and bookshelves, painted with a rich dark brown color. Copper accents are incorporated to create a warm and inviting color scheme. The centerpiece of the office is an antique French Egyptian desk, adding a touch of history and elegance. Vintage brass light fixtures complete the look, casting a warm glow throughout the space.

With dimensions of 8.5 meters in length, 7.5 meters in width, and a height of 6 meters, Oak offers ample space for work and relaxation. The design team, consisting of Ahmed Farghaly, Ayman El Mahdi, Mina Gamal, Hadeer Salah, and Mohammed Nabil, meticulously planned and executed every detail to ensure a seamless and harmonious design.

Located in Doha, Qatar, the Oak project commenced in May 2020 and was completed in September 2020. The design team faced various challenges during the project, including combining materials in contrasting ways to achieve solidity while maintaining visual and tactile appeal. However, their dedication and expertise resulted in a design that perfectly balances aesthetics and functionality.
